Elora Mill Wedding - bride and groom kissing on the bridge

a floral filled Elora Mill wedding

Kate and Andy hosted all their family and friends for their wedding at Elora Mill, and not one detail was looked over. The day began with Alex and I joining either side of the bridal party for some fun candids while they each got ready at Elora Mill. Now when I say not one detail was over looked I mean it, Kate had a very specific vision of bringing a French vineyard vibe to life for their Elora Mill wedding. And she chose the perfect vendors to help that vision come to life! ForeverWildfield florals knocked it out of the park, with muted orange tones, fresh fruit on the tables and wines draped around the room. When Alexandra arrived to drop off bouquets, Kate was having her done, and it was tears at first sight with her bouquet!

Kate and Andy decided on doing a first look, to break through some nerves and get a handful of beautiful images together before the day began. Their first look was perfect! It took place above the river around the mill, Kate's veil was catching in the wind, Andy cried, and on lookers (including myself!) had watery eyes.

Their day continued with a heartfelt ceremony (more tears) and the biggest of smiles while walking back down the aisle as husband and wife! We got the party started early with great music by 586 Event Group during cocktail hour, which continued into the evening and had the dance floor packed!

These two really know love. Their love was tangible. Their love for family and friends, and the love they recieved back was so heartwarming! Kate and Andy, you're perfect for one another, and Alex and I feel so special to have been a part of your story! xo

Meet the couple

What were your top 3 most important things while planning the wedding?
1: ensuring our guests were taken care of - that meant all in one spot, lots of food and drink, transportation provided etc. Everyone is still talking about the amazing food during the wedding!
2: for our guests to feel our love - for each other and for them. I think all the speeches were amazing!
3: the vibe - we wanted people to feel like they were at a French vineyard! Our florist knocked it out of the park and the DJ’s did a great job whether it was playing cool deep house beats from cocktail hour, to big room anthems that had everyone dancing until the end of the night!
What was your favourite part of the day?!
Kate: exchanging our vows - looking at Andy and officially joining our lives together was amazing. Plus I made it through without sobbing so that made me happy lol.
Andy: First Look - seeing my beautiful bride for the first time was really exciting. It was a moment I will never forget.
